Malik “Phife Dawg” Taylor, one-third of the legendary alternative hip hop trio A Tribe Called Quest has died at the age of 45. FUUUUCK.
While the cause of death has yet to be announced, Taylor had had health issues for years, undergoing a kidney transplant in 2008 to deal with a longtime battle with diabetes.
Guys, 2016 isn’t fucking around with us. March isn’t over and 2016 has taken legend after legend. It even took Rob Ford. Anyway, when you come of consciousness in the 90s, you tend to be more pissed at the state of rap and hip hop. We had A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang, Nas, Tupac, Biggie, Outkast, Scarface, and Snoop all in their primes. Shit. Anyway, if you don’t know who A Tribe Called Quest, you know at least one of their songs. And if you don’t, you do now. RIP.
