Cara Delevinge Fell Asleep Twice During Her Vogue Interview, For 7 Hours At Mulberry Shoot

Modeling is hard.

Vogue called out supermodel Cara Delevingne for apparently falling asleep multiple times during her interview with the fashion magazine. And the 21-year-old British beauty arrived late, to boot! The author of the Vogue article, Plum Sykes, wrote “Dear reader, to misquote Oscar Wilde, can I say that to oversleep once for a Vogue interview may be regarded as a misfortune, but to oversleep twice looks like carelessness?” Plum also questioned photographer Tim Walker, who has shot Cara many times, and he corroborated. “Every shoot I’ve done with her, she’s fallen asleep … She slept for seven hours on one Mulberry shoot.”

Hold up, you guys. Cara has her reasons for sleeping through work: she works “extremely hard”. Wrap your mind around that logic.

“Why do people in the industry lie so much???? They would rather see you fail than succeed. What happened to supporting each other,” she wrote. She went on to add, “All I can say is that I work extremely hard and ‘sleeping’ is proof that sometimes I work too hard. I apologize for being so ambitious.” And she’s not finished! She also Tweeted, “This just shows that the fashion industry is not the most understanding or compassionate of industries.”

She’s a model, so “work extremely hard” is obviously relative, but if you fall asleep for 7 hours at work, it might not be the best idea to say you have a great work ethic. You could have said you have narcolepsy. Or just told the truth said “heroin had me like”.
