Rodney King Got Arrested Again

Before Rodney King, black people would get beaten within an inch of their lives but we never got to see it played on a constant loop on television by a sensationalistic media. That was a bummer. But on March 3, 1991, Rodney King was intoxicated and driving at high speeds when LAPD officers, Stacy Koon, Laurence Powell, Theodore Briseno and Timothy Wind, stopped him and beat him seemingly with anything that was nearby. Bystander, George Holliday, videotaped most of the attack and it was used as evidence in largest police brutality trial in California history. On April 29, 1992, the officers were acquitted. And since Los Angeles is the most segregated place on earth while claiming to be a liberal mecca of tolerance and equality, rioters burned the city to the ground. Oh, btw. The beating hasn’t stopped Rodney King from drinking and driving. TMZ reports:

Rodney King has just been booked for DUI … TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell us King was driving a 1993 Mitsubishi in Moreno Valley, CA around 3:30 PM … when officers observed him committing “multiple infractions.” King was detained and transported to a nearby Riverside Sheriff’s station — where he was eventually arrested and booked on suspicion of driving under the influence. So far, no word on what substance cops believe King was under at the time of the arrest.

Man, if only Rodney King would have starred in Mean Girls then none of this would have happened. I heard that in LA if you have an IMDB credit the D.A. will help you hide a baby after you kill it. Anybody else heard that?
