Police used a crowbar and a battering ram to raid the home of Amy Winehouse yesterday. They searched for evidence and finally arrested Winehouse’s husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, for his alleged connection to a $400,000 trial-fixing plot. Fielder-Civil and four other men were arrested due to their plan to pay off several key witnesses in an assault trial. If convicted, Fielder-Civil could face life in prison. Daily Mail reports:
A distraught Amy Winehouse wept hysterically and screamed ‘Baby, I love you’ as husband Blake Fielder-Civil was arrested and led away by police officers over an alleged $400,000 trial-fixing plot. Amid dramatic scenes Fielder-Civil, 25, was seized by eight plain clothes officers at the flat in Bow. As he was led away, the 24-year-old singer kissed and hugged him, sobbing: “Baby, I love you. Baby, I’ll be fine.” He was handcuffed by police and led away from an east London flat last night as Winehouse looked on and begged: “I want to go with him.”
Wow, it took eight plain clothes officers to arrest this guy? Has he walked into some gamma radiation recently that we don’t know about? He’s a 100 pound heroin addict. I’m thinking the cops might have over thought this. You didn’t need to spend three hours in a conference room with a laser pointer and some blueprints. All you really needed was a pair of handcuffs and a scary voice.
