Showing up at a protest rally after spending hours getting your hair and makeup done might not be the best way to rebel against the social injustice of men’s facial hair. At least the tens of other women who got paid to be there taped some fake hair to their armpits and held up signs that somebody else made for them. In fact, this doesn’t even look like a protest rally at all. Unless Brooke Burke and Kelly Monaco are protesting against their careers, I really don’t understand the point of all this.
Okay, so, NoScruf is a real movement. The founder, Terry Tarentelli, is a former swimsuit model who refuses to shave her underarms or legs because she “believes that the shaving inequalities between men and women had to be rectified.” Seriously.
