You most likely know him from The Hangover movies. Possibly from his TV sitcom Dr. Ken. What you may not know is that Dr. Ken Jeong really is a medical doctor. True story.

And Jeong’s expertise as a physician came at a crucial time this past weekend.

According to TMZ, Jeong was doing a live, stand-up comedy show Saturday night in Phoenix when a woman began to suffer a seizure in the third row. Jeong first thought it was a heckler giving him a good razz, but the audience quickly made it obvious the woman was in need of medical assistance.

That’s when the doctor (who plays a doctor on TV_ sprang into action:

As soon as he realized what was happening, we’re told Ken hopped off the stage and rushed to the woman’s aid. Sources say he cleared the area and attended to her while paramedics arrived. An audience member who was also an EMT assisted as well.

Ken reportedly stayed with the fan until the ambulance arrived. Audience members said the woman regained consciousness and was brought back to her feet at one point. Sounds like she’ll be okay.

Jeong said he was happy to help before continuing on with the show. What a swell guy.

Another reason to like Dr. Ken? He’s one of those guys who’s smart and funny, but had to earn it. He never gives off the vibe of entitlement. He’s always making an effort to help others.

Here he is at a Stand Up To Cancer event in New York this past April.

And here he is having a blast at the Dodgers game. So yeah, he likes sports too.

It’s time he got his own action figure.
