You don’t have to be a fan of the NBA to know that once again the Golden State Warriors are destroying their competition as they are currently atop the Western Conference. But even if you’re not a fan of basketball, millions of people are. And you know what else people are a fan of? Video games. So that’s why it made sense that one of the best teams in the NBA got together with one of the most anticipated Playstation video games, God of War.

Over this past weekend, during half-time of the Warriors vs. Spurs game, PlayStation and BBH NY launched a “first-ever narrative projection mapping experience, transforming the court of the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California into a snowy landscape for an epic ‘War on the Floor.'” This is of course to let folks know that God of War will be making its way into stores on April 20th.

Check out the incredible video below.

Now that’s how you promote a video game. Tons of fans saw this God of War spectacle in person, and even more experienced it via ABC’s national broadcast.

Here’s what Asad Qizilbash, the Vice President of Marketing Exclusive Games & World Wide Studios IP Expansion, had to say:

“At PlayStation, we are always looking for our games to grow and transcend into different mediums and attract new fans. With our God of War ‘War on the Floor’ activation, we had the opportunity to work with the Golden State Warriors and offer our fans an immersive experience to bring the story of Kratos and his son to life in advance of the game’s April 20th release available only on PlayStation.”

When sports and video games team up amazing things are bound to happen.
