Ezekiel Elliott Could Be Facing Suspension From NFL

Dallas Cowboys star Ezekiel Elliott was already facing a possible short suspension to start the 2017 season based on a domestic violence situation earlier this year. Now it appears the young running back could be facing more trouble after a recent fight at a club.

Details are still emerging, but according to reports, the Dallas Police Department is still investigating an incident from Sunday night at Clutch Bar in the Big D where a 30-year-old-man said he was physically assaulted before taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

That man is supposedly a DJ. He also did not name who assaulted him. Although no suspects have yet been named, reporters have reason to believe it was Elliott.

TMZ claims to have video of the man laying on the ground after he was punched in the face. They claim he went to the hospital with a broken nose.

Needless to say, but I will anyway, Twitter is having a hey-day with the news.

Even before this breaking news, ESPN’s Adam Shefter had this to say last week:

“Growing sense that he could face some sort of short suspension here in the coming weeks … I think Zeke Elliott is bracing for a short suspension here in the coming weeks.”

Again, this alleged altercation is just one more explosion in what’s turning into the Elliott train wreck.

Although he was cleared recently, Elliott was still facing a possible suspension from a domestic violence situation that happened from his time at Ohio State. He was also facing possible discipline after an incident from March at a St. Patrick’s Day parade where he lifted a woman’s shirt, exposing her breast.

Dallas has Darren McFadden and Alfred Morris as backup running backs; Considering Dallas has the best o-line in the league, that tandem could be very serviceable; The Cowboys do start the season against the Giants and the Broncos.
