Assassin’s Creed Origins Release Date, Gameplay and More Revealed

Assassin’s Creed Origins was officially debuted at E3 2017, bringing an end to weeks of leaks of Ubisoft’s upcoming game by finally revealing official gameplay footage from the game.

Assassin’s Creed Origins story

Set in ancient Egypt, Assassin’s Creed Origins is set to tell the story behind the origins of the series’ brotherhood. The protagonist will be yet another hooded individual, with him being billed as last magi and protector of his community. He’s also good at stabbing people in the neck, which is pretty important for an Assassin’s Creed character.

The debut gameplay footage saw the player roaming through Siwa, the home city of the protagonist. Along with the usual free-running action, the footage also depicted the hero sending his pet bird in the air in order to do some scouting, seemingly taking cues from Ubisoft’s other intellectual property, Far Cry Primal. Its trailer also featured the hero aiming a bow at a giant snake, so it appears that proceedings are going to get a little otherworldly.

Assassin’s Creed Origins release date

Assassin’s Creed Origins will be released on October 27 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It will be the tenth game in the mainline Assassin’s Creed series, following 2015’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
