‘The Punisher’ May Debut on Netflix in November

Jon Bernthal’s Punisher may be sitting out of the upcoming team up miniseries, The Defenders, but Frank Castle won’t be taking 2017 off. While Netflix and Marvel TV have yet to officially announce a premiere date for The Punisher series, one of the directors from the show has indicated that it is less than six months away.

Via Heroic Hollywood, Dearbhla Walsh told The Hollywood Reporter that she had traveled to the United States to helm an episode of the series. “One other time [I directed stateside] that hasn’t been aired yet, which was an episode for the new Marvel series The Punisher, which I did just before Christmas, but it’s not airing until November.”

Until now, there had been few details about when the series would drop on Netflix. But considering that Netflix has new seasons of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage in the pipeline for 2018, it makes sense that The Punisher would hit this year.
