Props To This Guy Who Wore A Pasta Strainer In His License Photo For Religious Reasons

I once thought the craziest thing I had ever seen on an Arizona license was the fact that it didn’t expire for some 40 years after being issued, but thanks to Sean Corbett, that is now a very distant second.

Just why would somebody like Corbett wear a strainer as a hat for religious purposes? You guessed it: Pastafarianism is part of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and he “wanted to ease the way for people of other religions to don the headwear of their choice, such as a hijab or a turban, without opposition.”
“The whole process is intimidating, especially when people are yelling at you and scorning you for making a mockery out of their system,” Corbett said. “It’s nothing anybody should have to experience. They shouldn’t be bullied because their beliefs are different from other people.”
The state of Arizona sees things differently, however, and they have pretty much told Corbett to go fuck himself by revoking the license. Our hope is that the spaghetti monster hears about what they’re doing and flies in this weekend to right the situation.
