Couple Recorded Berating Restaurant Employees In Shocking Racist Rant (NSFW Language)

And now everyone and their mom knows just how racist this gross couple is.

A couple, Joe Marelle and his wife Lauren Loeb, who just happens to be part of a very well known family in Memphis, was recorded berating a bunch of restaurant employees in a racist rant that was published online for all to hear. It all kicked off when the couple called the staff at the Mango Reef restaurant in Turks and Caicos looking for a missing cell phone. And from there nothing but garbage comes out of Marelle’s and Loeb’s mouth.

The staff recorded the phone call, which features the couple drop the n-word countless times,  and telling the employees to “go back to Africa.”

Brian Faughnan, who is the attorney representing the couple, had this to say:

“The conversation that is being claimed to occur is faked in many respects as neither of them would use the terms or speak in the manner portrayed,” although he failed to mention which parts were “faked.” In other words, none of it is faked.

Deandrea Hamilton, the Magnetic media News owner, said, “It’s just really, really shocking for the resident population at Turks and Caicos Islands. People describe it as the worst racist rant they have ever heard.”

Loeb is actually part of a Memphis family with ties to “Loeb Properties (which owns Overton Square, among other properties in the city) as well as Henry Loeb, who served as mayor of Memphis in the 60s and early 70s.” So clearly she is well known, and now she is in deep shit.

Below is a video of the awful racist rant that the staff recorded. But just know that this is extremely NSFW because of the language that is use. Listen at your own risk, folks.

People and organizations, including Loeb’s previous places of work, have been bashing the couple left and right, and rightfully so. Regardless of what kicked off this convo, the trash that was spewed from that couple’s mouth is pretty shocking.

Here’s what Faughnan added:

“On behalf of my clients, I would ask that media outlets not add to the sensationalized nature of this situation, cease camping out at my client’s home, and allow my clients to determine what their legal rights are and then decide in private whether to choose to pursue them.”

No, buddy, they are screwed.
