This year hasn’t sucked for Childish Gambino. Whereas, 2016 was a dumpster fire for most of us, the multi-talented multi-hyphenate (rapper, actor, writer, producer) just earned multiple Golden Globe nominations for his hit FX series Atlanta, and his latest release as hip hop alter ego, Childish Gambino, Awaken, My Love, debuted #1 on the R&B albums chart.

Glover’s vocal chops and abs were on display on last night’s “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” as he performed a shirtless rendition of “Redbone” from Awaken, My Love, which BTW is creeping up on my best albums of 2016 list.
