Fanmade Indiana Jones Cartoon Would Be His Greatest Outing In Years

It’s been a good 27 years since we were treated to an Indiana Jones adventure worthy of our time. That’s a very long wait, especially in the world of instant gratification we live in now. But that may have finally changed thanks to artist, animator and lifelong fan Patrick Schoenmaker. Over the last five years, he and his team have carefully crafted the opening credits to the Indiana Jones cartoon series of your dreams, aptly titled The Adventures of Indiana Jones. Given that even the men behind the character couldn’t even give him a decent revival back in 2008, that should say something. But if you still need convincing, sit back and let the video below itself do the work.

The Adventures of Indiana Jones Cartoon Series Intro

While the animation itself may look a little Disney-esque, that’s probably not the worst thing in the world considering they own the rights now. And let’s face it, Harrison Ford isn’t getting any younger. Instead of recasting, wouldn’t it make more sense to just go the cartoon route?

Patrick Schoenmaker sure seems to think so, calling the video above “the opening sequence of what would be the TV series to make all other TV shows redundant” in the YouTube video description. It’s kind of hard to argue, as we haven’t felt this genuinely nostalgic since binge watching Stranger Things on Netflix earlier this year. So what say you? Does this look like a series you could enjoy every second of as much as you do the original? We’re certainly going to watch the credits 20 or so more time to try and figure it out.
