ESPN Reportedly Hires Bulls Great Scottie Pippen

According to one of the leading sports blogs, former Bulls All-Star and Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen is joining ESPN as an NBA analyst.

The Big Lead

Scottie Pippen is joining ESPN as an NBA analyst, a source with knowledge of the information tells The Big Lead. The source requested anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to speak publicly on the matter. A formal announcement is expected soon. An ESPN spokesman declined to comment.

The blog says Pippen will mostly appear on Rachel Nichols’ NBA show, The Jump, while also making appearances on SportsCenter. Their source also confirmed ESPN is in talks with adding a slew of basketball stars including Magic Johnson and Kobe Bryant.

It’s good to see Pippen doing well. Although he’s worked for the Chicago Bulls organization in recent years as a special advisor, he has been in the news for money problems, mostly in part because a former advisor of his ran off with millions.

Pippen won six championships with the Chicago Bulls with teammate Michael Jordan in the 1990s.
