Green Day Cancels Toronto Show, And Others

Green Day has cancelled several shows on their latest tour, including their stop in Toronto at the Distillery District this Friday night – ticket holders will receive a refund for their purchase.

The band cited illness as the reason behind the cancellation. They have also rescheduled performances that were set to take place in St. Louis, Chicago and Detroit. Green Day was going to be part of the entertainment at the Fan Village for the World Cup of Hockey.

Green Day’s 12th studio album, Revolution Radio, is scheduled to come out on October 7th. They have already released the lead single, “Bang Bang,” this past August.

“We’re so sad to announce we have to postpone three shows and cancel Toronto,” said the band (AP). “Many of us have been battling this infection for days on end to be ready, and it just got the best of us.”
