Watch The Hilariously Bloody Trailer For ‘Ash vs. Evil Dead’ Season 2!

Last season on the Starz original series, Ash vs. Evil Dead, Bruce Campbell’s iconic imbecile, Ash Williams heroically defeated the dark one known as Ruby (Lucy Lawless) and ended the threat of the Necronomicon once and for all before driving off into the sunset with his two pals, Pablo (Ray Santiago) and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo).

That would be a good ending for Ash’s three-decade struggle against the Deadites, but that’s not the way it really happened. Instead, Ash selfishly cut a deal with Ruby to let her keep the book of the dead. In exchange for the lives of Pablo and Kelly, as well as gas money, he cut and ran to Jacksonville, Florida! But that’s one happy ending that’s about to come crashing down hard.

Starz has released a new red band trailer for Ash vs. Evil Dead season 2 that was reportedly banned by Comic-Con. Whether it was really “banned” remains to be seen, but it has plenty of blood, guts, and gore, as Team Ash is once again drawn into the battle against evil.

As you can see in the trailer, there’s a new alliance between Ash and Ruby, but they’re hardly friends, even in the face of a new apocalyptic threat. And if you watch closely, you’ll see the debut of Lee Majors as Ash’s father, as well as the first look at new cast members Ted Raimi and Michelle Hurd.

Ash vs. Evil Dead season 2 will premiere on Starz in October, but fans at Comic-Con can catch the world premiere on Saturday, July 23 at 10pm in Room 6DE.
