Exclusive | ‘Hadrian’s Wall’ Cover Reveal
Imagine if the person you had the most reason to hate suddenly died a horrible death in space…and you had to figure out who killed the bastard.
That’s the starting point for Hadrian’s Wall, a new Image Comics miniseries from writers Kyle Higgins and Alec Siegel, as well as artist Rod Reis. Collectively, that trio previously collaborated on C.O.W.L., and now they’re going to take readers into the heart of an interstellar Cold War just as it starts getting hot.
Image has passed along three of the upcoming covers for Hadrian’s Wall, which are making their exclusive debut here on CraveOnline.
And just to set the stage, we’ve got some preview pages which depict the extremely horrible death of Edward Madigan in the vacuum of space. It’s almost enough to make you feel sorry for the guy until you realize that he tried to kill Simon Moore, the leading character of the book…and that was before Edward married Simon’s ex-wife!
“Hadrian’s Wall is a locked door murder mystery in outer space,” said Higgins in a previously released statement. “This series brings together our favorite parts of noir — cold blooded murder, the P.I. with a checkered past, and political corruption — with an epic, widescreen, science fiction story.” “Rod Reis’ stellar art and design recalls the aesthetic of Blade Runner and Alien, while creating a world that is personal and unique,” added Siegel. “His storytelling has gone to a whole new level.”
Hadrian’s Wall # 1 will be released on Wednesday, September 14.
