When two guys wanted to answer the question, "What would you do if you walked in on a murder in progress?" they weren't going to be content with just polling people. Instead, they went out and gathered real evidence by planting hidden cameras around a New York City elevator and acting out a strangling as the door opened. The shocked people waiting for the elevator showed a variety of reactions, from calling the police to spraying a fire extinguisher at the scuffle to snapping a camera phone picture. (Yes, that really happened.) Watch the whole clip to see every different reaction and let us know how you would react in the comments below.

Im amazed at the amount of people who ran off!!!!! even the ones with phones, not even trying to call for help!! I would have hit the man with something, and at least called 911.

I am a former Marine with a carry permit and people need to understand if I pull my weapon the next, and last, thing they see will be a flash simply because light travels faster than sound. This was incredibly stupid.

I've been on BOTH sides of this kind of situation for real & when I saw someone trying to wrestle a gun from an officer after he was stopped from beating his wife, my room mate *black skinny man* weighing maybe 135 lbs soaking wet & I *98 lbs* female* were able to get the gun from the man as he continued to fight the cop.We called in help for him & it saved the cop. When my ex husband kidnapped me & was trying to kill me, a whole restaurant full of men & women jumped to my aid as well as my kids' who he left in the parking lot at the ages of 2 yrs. & 3 months. he didn't get to us then, but a week later found us,kidnapped & held us for 18 days until his room mate took a baseball bat to him to help free us when he returned from a trip.I'm in Texas & I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but I don't think everyone should be judged by this stupidity on film.

March 06 2013 at 7:35 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI am a retired Police Officer I would pull my gun I.D. myself and if he did not stop fast enough I would probably shoot him in the head to protect the victim. So, therefore this is the dumbest thing I have ever seen in my life did the actors think about dying for a prank.
