Heroes come in all shapes and sizes and apparently in Fresno, Calif., they come in the form of hatchet-wielding hitchhikers.
The bizarre incident kicks off when a man claiming to be Jesus rammed his car into a Pacific Gas & Electric company worker, pining him against his truck, all because the worker was black, allegedly. The driver then jumped out of the car to attack the man. When two women who had witnessed the accident rushed to the scene, the crazed driver started attacking one of them.
That's when our hero jumped into action.
The hitchhiker, who's name was Kai and who had been in the car with the attacker, swung a hatchet he carries with him to free the woman and save her life. The PG&E worker was rushed to the hospital and the driver was taken away in police custody.
Since everything turned out OK for all of those involved, let's take a moment to appreciate Kai.
According to Mike Finch on social media news site, Fark, Kai grew up in Canadian foster homes (you can hear his rather thick Canadian accent) and had been a regular on the hippie music festival circuit.
From his filthy mouth to his calm demeanor to his description of his life-saving moves ("Smash. SMASH. SUHMAAAASH.") this guy has movie star written all over him. Somebody get Kai his own three-picture action movie franchise.
