    Let’s close this feature with a story of a kid saving not just any ordinary adult, but the president of his whole damn country. In 2008, a group of Boy Scouts in the small island nation of the Maldives were assembled to meet Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, the president of that country. Gayoom, the longest-serving president of any Asian nation, was approached by a 20-year-old religious extremist who pulled out a knife and tried to stab him in the stomach. Awesomely, a 15-year-old Boy Scout named Mohamed Jaisham took the group’s motto of “Be Prepared” to heart and leaped into action, grabbing the blade with his bare hand and wrestling it away from the would-be assassin.
