    Movies are a lot like magic; with them we engage in willful suspension of disbelief. We accept a certain level of implausibility, pretend CGI is real, and when we see hot actors nude we believe it. Except, many times, they aren’t.

    Body doubles are used in film for stars who can’t or won’t do nude shots themselves for whatever reason. This isn’t a new phenomenon either. As reported in 1993 by the LA Times, when Mrs. Robinson seduced Dustin Hoffman, it wasn’t Anne Bancroft in bed with him. Or Jane Fonda canoodling with Jon Voight in “Coming Home.” Angie Dickinson didn’t go nude in “Dressed to Kill,” nor was Anne Archer naked in “Body of Evidence.”

    So if you think you have seen the following 15 actors and actresses nude on screen, prepare for disappointment. Here are 15 recent stars who pulled the wool over our eyes.

    Mila Kunis

    Nope, you didn’t see her bum in “Friends with Benefits.” Mila explained, “I showed side boob and I figured I can’t just give everything all away at once. I gotta let it all out in little pieces here and there.” Regarding the butt double, she said, “These lovely women had to show us their derriere and we chose the one that resembled my body the most without looking like it is fake.”

    Same goes for the supposed Mila Kunis topless picture in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.” One word: Photoshop.

    Isla Fisher

    We loved her nympho character in “Wedding Crashers.” Too bad what we saw on screen wasn’t hers. She said, “I feel like if you have a female comic character and then you see her nipples, then she is no longer funny which is clearly wrong but that was my theory and that’s why I didn’t want to do it (The Frisky)."

    Appearances can be deceiving. While it looked like she was nude in the shower scene in “Machete,” such was not the case. Her underwear was digitally removed. Yes, digitally removed after the fact. She allowed the Photoshop, as it would serve the director’s vision of the film, as well as "honor her personal convictions regarding nudity." What’s the difference then, between “real” skin and “digital” skin? Confusing.

    The Indian hottie from “Slumdog Millionaire” used a butt double when filming “Immortals.” Do all my dreams need to die? She told E! Online, “I’m relieved I don’t have to deal with that issue.” What I want to know is who are these doubles and where can I meet them?

    It’s not just women who balk at dropping trou. Lots of fans might have gone atwitter over his nude waterfall scene in “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves,” but you guessed it: fake. Which is odd, since he exposed his rear in “Dances With Wolves.” Turns out, it was cheaper to hire a double for the brief long shot.

    In the film “Domino,” she used a double for her lap-dancing scene. She admitted, “It’s definitely a body double, I don’t have that body. What a bum! I wish I had that bum…it was fantastic.”

    The movie: “Your Highness.” The scene: her wearing a thong near a river. Given the theme of this gallery, there is no mercy. It's not really her. The Dark Side has won.

    She looked uber-hot in “Up in the Air” during her sex scene with George Clooney. Turns out, she gave birth shortly before filming began, and the nudity was definitely not her. She told Entertainment Weekly, “The breast milk down both sides – it would have been inappropriate.”

    You thought you saw her nipple in “The Change-Up,” but you didn’t. Really, you didn’t. In this case, a body double wasn’t used: the nip-slip was computer-generated. Again, if it looks real, isn’t it nearly the same thing?

    The acting goddess and Academy Award-winning champ can chameleon into any role, except for going au naturale. In “Death Becomes Her,” she used a body double: the now famous Catherine Bell from “JAG” and “Army Wives.”

    You figured someone who once wore Billy Bob Thornton’s vial of blood around her neck wouldn’t have a problem walking around in her birthday suit, but that’s what it looked like from her nude scene in “Wanted.” The curvaceous butt on film doesn’t seem to match her thin physique, and it was later reported it was a double (Virgin Media). However, there are many other nude Angelina Jolie scenes out there that are real for you to look up and enjoy.
