No Lie: Meagan Good of 'Deception' Is Hot

Meagan Good was born in Panorama City, CA and has pretty much been an actor her whole life. Her mother was her manager when she began appearing in commercials at age four and into her teenage years. Her father is a police officer for the LAPD.

Although she is considered African-American, Meagan Good's ethnicity is rather mixed. Her maternal grandmother is Jewish and African, her maternal grandfather was part Cherokee, and her paternal grandmother is Puerto Rican and black.

After working as an extra for awhile, Meagan Good was cast in her first film at age 13, the 1995 hit comedy "Friday."

In 1997, Meagan Good began to garner fame for her role in the critically acclaimed film "Eve's Bayou," starring Samuel L. Jackson. She received two nominations for her performance, including her first NAACP Image Award nomination.

For the next several years, Meagan Good would appear in many films and television shows, but mostly in smaller roles. However, she would transition from child to adult actress in the early-2000s, and go on to land her first leading lady role in the 2006 movie "Waist Deep."

In 2007, Good appeared in the dance movie "Stomp the Yard" alongside her childhood friend and actor Columbus Short.

Meagan Good has also been in several popular horror flicks, including "The Unborn," "Saw V" and "One Missed Call."

Most recently, Meagan Good has appeared on the big screen in films "Think Like a Man" and "Jumping the Broom."
