Happy Birthday, Vanessa Lachey

Vanessa Minnillo was born at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. Her father Vincent is a retired Air Force Aircrew Member. She is of Irish, Italian and Filipino descent.

Minnillo is probably most well-known for being a host on MTV's "Total Request Live." She hosted TRL from 2003 to 2007.

During her time on TRL, Vanessa also became a New York City correspondent for "Entertainment Tonight." She worked on the show until 2010.

Vanessa Minnillo married former boy band singer and ex-husband of Jessica Simpson, Nick Lachey, in July 2011. Here she is getting a little cray at her bachelorette party. Strangely enough, today is her husband's birthday, too (Happy Birthday, Nick Lachey!).

The couple had a son on September 12, 2012, so Vanessa Lachey is a proud new mom.

In 1998, Vanessa Minnillo was crowned Miss Teen USA (as Miss South Carolina), and was also named the pageant's Miss Congeniality.

After winning Miss Teen USA, Minnillo garnered wider fame as a television personality and host. Along with TRL, she went on to host several pageants (Miss Teen USA in 2004 and Miss Universe in 2007) and TV shows. She is currently a co-host of ABC's "Wipeout."

Vanessa Lachey is also a successful actress. She got her start in 2001 on the soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful." She went on to appear in movies such as "Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer" and "Disaster Movie," and on TV shows like "30 Rock" and "Hawaii Five-0."
