    Here’s one that’s deeply disturbing in several ways. In 2011, prison psychologist Laurie Ann Martinez called 911 in shock, sobbing that she had just come home to discover a strange man in her kitchen. He’d punched her in the face, knocked her unconscious and raped her before escaping the house with some electronics. However, once the cops started looking into the case, they discovered that Martinez had worked with a friend to fake the whole thing as part of a plot to convince her husband to move to a more expensive neighborhood! Martinez split her lip with a safety pin, ripped her blouse, scraped her knuckles with sandpaper and had the friend punch her in the face, and then topped it off by purposefully peeing in her underwear. Even worse for Martinez, her husband filed for divorce six weeks after the incident.
