Our favorite holiday, Halloween, isn't far off. We don't particularly care for candy anymore—we're more interested in scantily clad coeds in cat suits—but there is ample opportunity to upgrade from candy to candied cocktails. Since the fairer sex might prefer a sweeter mixed concoction to another seasonal pumpkin drink, here are 10 drinks you can make for the inappropriately dressed lady in your life.
Candy Corn Martini
Combine in a cocktail shaker 2 ounces of vanilla vodka, 2 ounces of cranberry juice and 1 ounce of ginger ale with ice. Shake and pour into martini glass, and garnish with candy corns.

Caramel Apple Jello Shots
This one takes a bit of effort, but it's pretty impressive. Start with 10 Granny Smith apples, sliced in half vertically and then cored down until there's about a quarter-inch of flesh left. In a saucepan, whisk together and boil a half-cup of water, and half-cup of coconut milk and a packet of hot chocolate mix. Reduce heat and add an envelope of gelatin powder and a quarter-cup of sugar until all the ingredients are combined, then add a half-cup of butterscotch Schnapps or Van Gogh Dutch caramel vodka. Pour the mixture into the halved apples, and refrigerate. When well-chilled, cut the halves into eighths and serve.

Kahlua Float
In a mixing cup, combine a scoop of coffee ice cream, a hefty shot of Kahlua and about a half-glass of Champagne, but do not stir them up. In a plate, mix up some corn syrup and chocolate jimmies, and rim a Champagne flute with those. Pour in the ice cream/Kahlua/Champagne mixture, and trick or treat to your heart's content.

Frozen Ginger Lemon Drop
First up, you'll need some frozen ginger lemonade: combine 1.5 cups of sugar with a cup of water and bring to a boil in a saucepan, then add three or four large slices of fresh peeled ginger root. Scoop out the ginger root and blend with 2.5 cups of water, strain out the solids and pour that back into the boiled sugar water mixture. Stir in 2 cups of fresh squeezed lemon juice and pour into a casserole dish and freeze overnight. The next day, break up the frozen ginger lemon mixture and combine about a cup of ginger lemonade with a half-cup of vodka. If you want to get fancy, rim the glass with lemon juice and sugar and garnish with a lemon tuile.

Snowball Martini
Rim a martini glass with sugar. In an ice-filled cocktail shaker, mix up 2 shots of whipped-cream-flavored vodka and a shot of lemon juice. Toss a "ball" of cotton candy into the martini glass, about three ice cubes' worth, and pour the vodka-lemon juice mixture over top, melting the cotton candy. Sweet.

Love Potion
This started out as a kids' drink, but we recommend growing it up with either vodka, rum, or tequila: all three work as well. In a pitcher, combine a 12-ounce can of pink lemonade concentrate with a 12-ounce can of Sprite or 7-Up. Add about four cups of raspberry sherbet, and then vodka/rum/tequila to taste.
