Charting the Forever Rising Cost of Basketball Sneakers
LeBron James' 10th signature shoe is coming out soon, and rumors are swirling about the kicks commanding a price tag north of 300 bucks. While Nike has denied those rumors and made claims that a special version of the shoe will cost only $290 (what a deal!), that's still a lot of money to drop on a pair of shoes. So how did we get here? This handy chart tracks the prices of the most popular b-ball sneakers since the dawn of the Air Jordan (with a little Starbury thrown in for good measure).

The high prices that continue to rise does not make any player jump, run, or even fly any better then the original Chuck Taylor Converse All Star. It's a shame that students/parents will purchase these high priced glamour shoes and can't even have money to buy basic school supplies (pencils, pens, notebooks, paper). Maybe the parents should have their heads examined on what's more important for back to school supplies; foreign made shoes or basic school supplies? This generation is WHAK or LAME; either on dope or dog food!

My father acted as though I had sprouted an eyeball on my chin and another pair of ears.
