The Pete Carroll Web of Corruption

USC head coach Lane Kiffin recently was busted for lying about who he voted for in the USA Today coaches poll. He voted for his team, then told the press otherwise. Now Kiffin has to relinquish his ballot. But this type of unethical behavior should come as no surprise, because Kiffin came from the ranks of Pete Carroll. 

Carroll has become a celebrity coach thanks to his rah-rah attitude and top-tier football programs in Southern California. Then there's the other side of Carroll: the scandals, the forfeited wins, the agents. While some football legends have coaching trees that pass their systems down from program to program, Carroll seems to be building out a web of corruption. Here are just a few of Carroll's associates whom he's affected, influenced or just plain left high and dry.
