This "Obscene Language Document" was sent to all the baseball teams, warning them about their players' on-field cursing in 1898. It uses numerous examples of insults overheard from the stands that baseball wanted to put a stop to.

And because it included so many crude statements, this document was considered too obscene to send via the US Postal Service, so it had to be personally delivered to each team.

This document has been verified and sold for $32,312.50 at auction.
