    As if you didn't hate your birthday enough already, we have news that will make your special day even more dreadful. According to a recent study, you are more likely to die on your birthday than any other day of the year.

    The study took place over 40 years and included over two million people. The results weren’t pretty. Apparently, your b-day is also the day that deaths rise from a variety of causes, including heart attacks, strokes, falls and suicides.     The study, published by the journal Annals of Epidemiology, came up with some eye-opening stats. On average, people over the age of 60 were 14 percent more likely to die on their birthdays.

    Heart attacks rose 18.6 percent on birthdays and were higher for men and women. Birthday strokes were up 21.5 percent, mostly in women. Canadian data also showed that strokes were more likely on birthdays.

    There was a 34.9 percent rise in suicides, but random deaths are also up across the board. Accidental deaths not related to cars are up 28.5 percent, while deaths from falls are up 44 percent.

    Famous people aren’t even immune from the birthday death curse.
