While so many legendary fast-food burgers go bigger and bigger, White Castle carved out a niche by staying small. The White Castle cheeseburger consists of a tiny patty, some pickles and an overflowing pile of onions crammed into a tiny, two-bite bun. Depending on how hungry you are or how much you drank before you ordered, a 10-sack can feed anywhere from one to three people.

Double Down, KFC 

This revolutionary sandwich flips conventional fast-food sandwich construction on its head by using two pieces of fried chicken in place of the bun. The chicken is sandwiched around slices of jack cheese and bacon, then drizzled with sauce.

Grilled Cheese Burger, Friendly’s 

You like grilled-cheese sandwiches, right? You like burgers, too? Why not use two grilled-cheese sandwiches as the bun for your burger? Sometimes we wonder why sandwiches like this took so long to create in the first place.

Crown Crust Cheeseburger Pizza, Pizza Hut Middle East

It’s an absolute travesty that a pizza this gluttonous was invented outside of the U.S. At least it exists. Not only does this glorious pie shove cheeseburgers into the crust, it keeps the toppings consistent with the burger theme. The middle of the pie is covered in burger bites, lettuce and tomato. Leave it to the Middle East to combine the best of American and Italian cuisine.

Classic Roast Beef sandwich, Arby’s 

Sometimes simpler is better. This sandwich hasn’t changed since 1964. Thinly sliced oven roasted beef stacked up on a sesame-seed bun. Classic and delicious.

Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, Chick-fil-A 

A simple chicken sandwich featuring a seasoned, breaded chicken breast pressure-cooked in peanut oil. Add pickle chips, butter the bun and you have a sandwich that never goes out of style.

Egg McMuffin, McDonald’s 

The McMuffin is the breakfast equivalent of the Big Mac, a franchise player capable of putting up big numbers year in and year out. The most basic McMuffin consists of Canadian Bacon, egg and cheese on an English muffin.

Meaty P’Zone, Pizza Hut

Pepperoni, ham, Italian sausage, pork, beef, and cheese are all stuffed into a calzone-like half-moon of flakey dough. That’s basically an entire family-style Italian meal crammed into a Hot Pocket.

Fried chicken, Popeye’s 

The special seasoning in the batter used to deep fry their chicken pieces can hold up against far more serious, and expensive, fried chicken joints. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, this is the best fried chicken you will find in the fast-food world.

Doritos Locos Taco, Taco Bell 

Meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato and sour cream: the taco provides a little bit of everything in each bite. Adding a Doritos shell into the mix really adds to the party in your mouth. The fact that there is a Cool Ranch option coming later this year is good news for taco heads everywhere.

Chicken McNuggets, McDonald’s 

Deep-fried, bite-sized pieces of processed chicken. You had us at “deep-fried.” (And kept us at “processed.”)

Mashed Potato Bowl, KFC 

Fill a bowl with mashed potatoes, top that with corn and fried-chicken bites. Drizzle that pile with gravy and top it off with a shredded three-cheese blend. If the prime objective of a meal is to get each of its ingredients into every bite, the Mashed Potato Bowl has achieved its goal.

Footlong Meatball Marinara, Subway 

The basics stay the same: meatballs and red sauce. The rest is up to you. Pick a cheese, throw some veggies on there and select whatever bread you prefer. The combination of tradition and versatility helps this sandwich standout.

McRib, McDonald’s 

This specialty sandwich is so craved by McFanatics that there are sites dedicated to tracking its availability. But don’t chalk all of the hype up to the McRib’s limited availability; this sandwich still packs a punch with flavorful pork, pickles and onions.

Baconator, Wendy’s 

A quarter pound of that fresh Wendy’s beef is covered in a pile of applewood-smoked bacon. This sandwich laughs at lettuce and tomato, choosing to roll with cheese, ketchup and mayonnaise instead.

Burrito Supreme, Taco Bell 

Every single bite is an explosion of meat, beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese, sour cream and tangy hot sauce. Wrapped up in a tortilla, you can easily carry and eat the Burrito Supreme and its myriad of ingredients anywhere you go.

Sausage Pancake Bites, Dunkin’ Donuts 

If you like sausage and pancakes, you will definitely love this breakfast corndog that rolls them into one. These are only available for short stretches at a time, so stay on your toes and be ready to audible any time you’re at your local Dunk.

Hushpuppies, Long John Silver's 

Little balls of seasoned, fried, doughy heaven. You feel like the amount you get to compliment your meal is never enough, so you'll probably order extra, and that most likely won't be enough either. They are also versatile enough to go with just about any dipping sauce.

Frosty, Wendy’s 

Dessert or condiment? That is the question. No one will fault you for eating this after you’re done with your meal, but the Frosty can be just as tasty when you dip fries in it during the main course.

Arby's Curly Fries

Crispy, spicy and amazing. Arby's might be more known for their roast beef, but a trip to the big hat without curly fries is a missed opportunity.

Shamrock Shake, McDonald's 

This neon green dessert in a cup comes along once every St. Patrick’s Day, but it always leaves a mark. One sip of the odd colored minty shake topped with whipped cream and a cherry is usually enough to hold you over from one St. Patty’s celebration to the next.
