When a teenage girl falls through a soft spot of sidewalk while walking down the street in Xi'an, Shaanzi China, things looked very bleak. But a cabbie immediately hops out of his car and crawls down the pit to rescue the girl. The man couldn't get the girl back up from the pit until firefighters showed up with ladders. The depth into which she fell combined with the tightness of the hole makes us claustrophobic just watching the video. It's a borderline miracle no one was seriously hurt in the incident.
