Keep your eye on second base of this baseball game and you will see one of the worst cheap shots in the history of sports. This disgusting moment takes place at the 0:20 mark of this video of a Yavapai Community College baseball game in Scottsdale. And while everyone is looking at an incident that happened off camera at first base, the left fielder came flying in and blindsided the opposing player standing at second base. The kid who did this should be suspended for the rest of the season. We'll update when we find out more information.

What would prompt someone to to do such a horrible thing to an unsuspecting person?!! That player should not only be suspended, but criminal charges should be considered--does anybody know the state of that player? That was nasty--and this was a junior college game?? These are young adults--not kids playing little league--ridiculous!!!!

April 08 2012 at 12:57 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyHis parents must be so proud. Being that it IS Arizona, his conduct is probably allowed as it is possible he mistook the "enemy" player for an undocumented worker.

I would be proud
April 08 2012 at 2:12 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThat guy could, and probably should, be brought up on charges of assault and battery. Would it be as funny if he permanently injured the guy? But, on the other hand, if the Saints can pay to permanently injure people why can't this guy throw a cheap shot?

April 08 2012 at 11:55 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThe College has suspended this player. He will not play for the rest of the season. This decision is questionable as I believe he should be BANNED for life! He MAY have been suspended from the college as well. This last statement may or may not be factual.
