Victoria Silvstedt Heats Up in Miami

The Swede was born Karen Victoria Silvstedt in 1974 -- the same year ABBA's Waterloo became a hit.

Though she looks ready for a day at the beach, Vicky started snow skiing when she was five.

What does VS have in common with Anna Nicole Smith and Claudia Schiffer? All three were Guess? spokesmodels.

The skiier-turned-model also acts on the side. In 1999, she appeared on an episode of Melrose Place titled, "Asses to Ashes."

She also acted in the Off Broadway play Pieces (of Ass).

Not suprisingly, Victoria was a pageant queen once upon a time and competed in the 1993 Miss World competition. You can see her here (at :57). She somehow looks ... different ... now.

After getting her modeling career off the ground in Paris, Ms. Silvstedt caught the eye of a certain man in his pajamas. She was chosen as Playmate of the Year in 1997.

Clearly a fan of water, Victoria appeared in the movie Boat Trip with Cuba Gooding Jr.

Not content to just ski, model, act and sing, Victoria also had her own reality show Victoria Silvstedt: My Perfect Life, which aired on E! but we were too busy still mourning the loss of Taradise to catch it.

Silvstedt says the tiny town she's from is close to the Arctic Circle, making it dark during the winter.

"I don't know how I survived in the wintertime. There was no sunlight. That's why I crave it so much now I think. Every time the sun is out I have to run outside," she has said.

Victoria released an album called "Girl on the Run" in 1999. You can watch her strange tennis-inspired video for the song "Rocksteady Love" here. Sample lyrics: "No need to go insane cuz we've got a rocksteady love." Truer words were never spoken.
